January 17, 1781 General Daniel Morgan took on "Bloody Ban" aka Sir Banastre Tarleton.  The leader of the infamous Green Dragoons.  Known for their heavy handed and ruthless tactics against the people of South Carolina, Tarleton, and over confident commander, was defeated. He escaped into the woodland into the mists of time.
